08/05/2008 : Mixed results for Palmerston in week 1

The 2008 league season started in typically damp conditions. The Men's A team started with a comfortable 5-1 win over Mossley Hill A. The Men's B team started their section B campaign off in terrible fashion by going down 5-1 to Bohemians A. The C team got some revenge by beating Bohemians B 5-1. The Men's E rounded off the week with a 5-1 win over Mersey Bowmen D.

The Ladies also had mixed fortunes with the A team beating Mossley Hill 4-2. The B team lost 6-0 at home to Mersey Bowmen.

13/04/2008 : New look for Club house

The club house got a bit of a make over this week with the old windows replaced with nice new modern double glazing. Hopefully the club will be a bit warmer now when we are freezing in May waiting to play some tennis. Once we get a dry spell of the weather the outside of the club house will be painted and the club should be looking better than ever.

13/04/2008 : Countdown to 2008 Tennis Season

The 2008 tennis season starts in just over 2 weeks on 29th April. Practice will take place on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 6pm and on Sunday from lunchtime onwards. Remember this year we have new Men's Captains in Danny Swain and Michael Whalley. Alison continues as Ladies Captain. As ever, please give them your full support. Lets hope for some nice tennis weather this season.

13/04/2008 : New Look Web site launched

Palmerston online has been given a bit of a makeover for the 2008 season. It's still a work in progress and I'm sure there are mistakes here or there so if you notice anything strange then please let me know. As ever any suggestions to help make the site more helpful or better will be most welcome. If anyone has any old Palmerston pictures they would like to see on the site then please get in touch.
