September 5th – Men’s September Doubles Tournament

Our annual men’s doubles tournament takes place this year on Sunday 5th September.

The tournament is open to all league players in Liverpool. The format is round robin followed by a semi-final and final. The action begins at 10.30 am.

Last year Danny Swain and Martin Dalton won the tournament.

12th September – September Mixed Doubles Tournament

The annual mixed doubles tournament takes place this year on Sunday 12th September.

The tournament is open to all league players in Liverpool. The format is round robin followed by a semi-final and final. The action begins at 10.30 am.

Last year Anthony Hardman and Chloe Murphy won the tournament beating our own Danny Swain and Kathy Mcknight in the final.

21st November – Annual General Meeting

The committee has decided to move the AGM to a Sunday afternoon in the hope that more members will attend the meeting. Previously we held the meetings on a Friday night but always struggled to meet the minimum attendance criteria to hold the meeting. Considering we only need 20 members to turn up out of the 300 members we have shows either a general apathy to what happens at the club or that 280+ members decide to go out on that particular Friday night. Anyway this year we are going to try a Sunday night to see if that makes any difference.

Please remember that Palmerston is your club and we, the committee want your input and help to run it.
