Palmerston Men’s A team got back to winning ways on Monday night with a 6-0 win over newly promoted Liverpool Cricket club. The B and C teams however fared less well, both going down 6-0 to Campion A and East Wavertree respectively.
The Ladies A team continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 6-0 win over Campion A.
The 2010 Tennis league season is underway and it started in disappointing fashion for the majority of our teams. The Men’s A team lost out to Vags 4-2. The Men’s B and Ladies B teams were beaten 6-0 by Aughton A and DL Speke respectively. The one bright spot was the Men’s D team beating Bohemians 6-0. Thursdays matches were washed out.
The 2010 tennis league season kicks off on Tuesday April 27th so our Captains are appealing for all players to dust off their rackets and get down to Palmerston for some much needed doubles practice!!
Organised sessions take place on Sundays from 12pm and on Tuesday evening from 6pm, weather permitting of course!
